Well, we're officially back to work. Sarah started her practicum at Douglas County Senior Services this week. It seems like it will be a good learning experience for her. She is still not sure what all of her responsibilities will entail, but the details will be ironed out soon. The Senior Center is close to downtown and within walking distance from the Aquahawk office, so on the days that Patrick is in the office, Sarah and Patrick might be able to see each other during the lunch break.
After her practicum on Friday, Patrick dropped the kids off downtown with Sarah and they all played at the park. It was such a gorgeous day on Friday- around 50 degrees. We definitely wouldn't mind if the temperature was like that for the rest of the winter. Unfortunately, the weather changed by that evening and we had a windy Friday night. Patrick had a meet in Topeka starting Friday afternoon and lasting the entire weekend. He also has swim meets the next two weekends, so we won't be seeing a lot of him.

I forgot to write last week about something funny that Elle recently said. When Sarah's mom was in town she mended Elle's old Jayhawk dress, which is now a bit too small. Elle managed to get a hold of it and put it on. She put on tights and a skirt underneath the dress. She likes to wear dresses, and when she wears them she often says she is wearing a "princess." Well, after donning this outfit she called herself "Princess Jayhawk." It was very cute. Elle has done very well with her potty training this week. I think she's only gone in her diaper 3 times during the course of the week! We can't wait to only buy diapers for one!

Jay has been a drooly mess this week. I think he is getting 3 of his top teeth at the same time- poor little guy! One of the teeth is already popping through and the other 2 look like they are about to break through the gum. Jay has been waving a lot lately, too. We got together with some friends on Saturday after the meet and they couldn't believe what a happy and sweet disposition he has. Poor Elle fell asleep on the drive to our get-together and she fell asleep in Sarah's arms while they were there. I think she is still getting back into her routine after all of the company we had in town because it already seemed like she got a lot of sleep this week!
